Much of my artwork focuses on scenes from life events and experiences. Whether I am doing zany dogs, cubist faces, pet portraits, nudes, whimsical creatures, myself, or more, the dominant feature in my work is that they are emotive. Most are close ups of an aspect of expression where I use line, colour and pattern to emphasize the moment I am attempting to capture. Repetition of forms has become symbolic and in variation is the progression of an ongoing narrative.
My education includes a Graduate Certificate Program in Museum Management and Curatorship from Fleming College. Prior to my studies at Fleming, I completed two degrees in Fine Arts. The first was earned from Georgian College and the second from the University of Guelph, where I specialized in extended practices, painting and printmaking. I enjoy working with a mixture of mediums including, painting, printing, drawing and ceramics.
